Bad days can end well
I had a bad day today. My project deadline wasn't met because I made a mistake, and didn't catch it until too late to finish. No big deal, really, but it means I have to work on my day off tomorrow, to finish the project so it can go to the printer. Everyone was nice about it, and very comforting, but it was a dumb mistake that I should not have made.
I had a number of unexpected jobs of the "can you look at this and fix my grammar, I need this today" variety, plus two long meetings.
This was all after I had trouble with my blood sugar and had a headache all day.
But, the headache went away, I figured out how to fix my mistake, I have time to finish the project tomorrow, and...
I came home to find the ROTK DVD had arrived in the mail unexpectedly soon. Ahhhhhhh! So I have been to Minas Tirith, seen the beacons lit, heard the blowing of the horns of Rohan at dawn, and watched Sam carry Frodo up Mount Doom.
I am content.
