A heavy burden...

That's the only thing I could think of today as I carted 40 lbs of books -- I swear it was at least that heavy -- to the library. It's about 11 blocks and I felt like a hobbit being made to carry more than his fair share. Ouch, my feet! My knees!

Boromir's voice was in my mind the whole way: "You carry a heavy burden, Frodo..." It was definitely heavy, but Boromir's voice in my head made it a bit lighter. ;-)

heavy reading eh?

do you ever rest?

Worst thing was, not one of the books was mine! But I was the one with the day off...

Yes, I do rest, now and then, when absolutely necessary, hehe!

maybe you should get one of those pull behind carts that the OLD FOLKS use for shopping...*ducks and covers*

That is soooo funny.

I think I would have p**d my pants as I thought of that -

then there is the load - help to carry the load....oh dear, I'm losing it and I'm at work...

Hope your back doesn't complain, but if it does, I've got some therapy exercises you can use! LOL

Hey, I'm all for things with wheels when it comes to books - they're dang heavy, and I haul them all the time. Furniture dollies work well, or little rolling backpack things...

So why am I always ending up having things given to me to haul down to the library when all I have is my shoulder bookbag? Must be Murphy.

Can I borrow Boromir to come speak in my head sometime? :-D

Murphy works at my house, too. I would have given any money to have one of those wheelie thingies just then!

I have to say, Boromir in the head did help me put one foot in front of the other! :-D
