Is today Monday?
I am feeling curiously out of sorts today, but thankfully, I have a computer that tells me what day it is. Yes, it is Monday, and I am at work, hardly working. Actually I have a number of wee projects going, but nothing major, and nothing pressing, which is a relief.
My dad is still ill with the flu -- which is making the rounds in a bad way out in Wisconsin and Iowa -- but he is at least home from the hospital and recovering slowly. He's almost 80 and pretty frail, so it is hard for him to snap out of these things, but he's a real trooper, and is determined not to "cut out early" as he puts it. :-D
I am all recovered from my smash up, except for a nose that is a bit sore to the touch. Unfortunately, I have a habit of pulling on my nose when I am thinking, so I keep irritating it! :-/ The car is repairable, and my Dear Hubby is doing what he can on it, before sending it to a shop to finish the job. That should save some bucks, in the long run.
My goals for this week include:
- laundry
- finding a doctor in town who is willing to take new patients
- catching up on long-neglected correspondence and paperwork
- preparing for a trip to a weekend convention at which we are the main speakers (talking about our work in Pakistan)
- writing inklings, if the Muse cooperates. I have plenty of ideas but they are all for the wrong chapters!
