Finally, a moment to draw a breath

Just finished two editing projects, so I seem to be caught up for the moment -- at least in the office part of my work. It's crazy around here, with a couple of different conferences going on at the office, but it's "good" crazy, if you know what I mean.

We have a full house, every room filled. Some are going away for the
weekend, and coming back next week; in three cases, wives will be joining
hubbies who are already here and in one case, a hubby will be joining a
wife. Then we will really be full! I have to cook supper on Thursday and Friday, and the whole weekend, for those who are around -- hopefully it won't get too hectic. Wonder if they like frozen pizza...?

Not much else to report, except I am having trouble keeping my mind off of food -- my office being next to the kitchen where they are cooking tasty-smelling goodies for the conferences!

FanFic Meme

In order to save space I'm putting this behind a cut, except for the first question. Sorry -- should have done that in the first place, because I simply CANNOT keep my answers short! ;-)

1) What was the first piece of fan fiction you ever read?

I am really not certain; I seem to recall I came in at about the time when people were just beginning to start writing more than poetry. I remember being inspired by Prim's poetry -- and had a hand at writing myself; my first offering for the Message Boards was a poem, "Gondor Will See It Done." http://lotrscrapbook.bookloaf.net/poetry/poems/linaewen_gondor.html It was shortly afterwards that my first story idea came to me, and took over my life. ;-)
