I don't generally like being a conspiracy theorist, but you aren't supposed to know about stevia, lol. The companies that make Splenda, Sweet-n-Low and Equal are throwing a lot of money at the FDA to block advertising it as a sweetener. You can buy it in health food stores marketed as a "supplement." Its a non-caloric herb and it is beginning to show up in lots recipes and products. See more info here:
