You'd think it was MY interview

Well, my Dear Son just drove off to the first job interview he's had since October.  We both have butterflies in our stomach, that's for sure!  I think he was less nervous before he found out that he could be there for several hours and that there are others being interviewed at the same time.  Not knowing what to expect, and worrying he will make a fool of himself is also a concern -- more of a concern for him than for most, perhaps, since he sometimes still flounders in situations where a person growing up in America would know the answers.  ;-)

It's hard to remain optimistic and confident when the track record of getting any employer to pay attention to him is so dismal, but I'm exercising my faith and my prayer muscles with great concentration right now.  And that's the best kind of exercise there is, in the long run!

In other news, I was less than half a pound away from achieving my 10% weight loss goal this week.  So close!!  Aaaarggggghhhhh!  But that's okay.  I shall be extra specially circumspect this week in following my diet and I'll have something to celebrate next week.

I'm feeling pretty much myself again after my illness, though I still tire a bit easily and sleep heavier than I did before.  I'm thinking I'll be right as rain just in time for me to go to my next dentist appointment in two weeks -- where I will surely have to get another shot of novacaine.  Ah, well, no use anticipating trouble.  ;-)

The sun was out pretty much all day today, and there is only a little bit of snow left, from the 6 inches we had the other day.  I think I heard there was going to be Spring next week, so I'm looking forward to that.  In the meantime, I'm staying warm by the gas fireplace my DH recently installed.

*heart-warming hugs for all my friends*

((((((Lin)))))). I will keep you and your DS in my prayers. Poor thing. It really is hard to get anything when you're first trying to get a job. Pardon my ignorance, dear Lin, but has he checked out the local community college? I know we're always looking for student workers. Also, they may have job placement services.

I hope you get SPring and that the next visit to the dentist isn't too bad!

It is hard, yes, that's been the main trouble. He has not tried the colleges, but that is a good option, we have a good one here.

Still, it sounds like he's got the job he was interviewing for, if all his refs check out. We'll know for sure in two weeks.
