Food or Football? Decisions, Decisions...

We have a guest this weekend, and the plan was to go out to eat for our Sunday luncheon.  It's always nice to go out to eat, then I don't have to figure out what to cook!

However, it seems the Green Bay Packers football game is on the tube today -- probably because the Chicago game is on this evening -- so now DH and our guest are not interested in going out to eat.  :-D  Nor am I, for that matter.  I'm as keen on watching the game as they are!

Hahaha. Yesterday late afternoon we had a big party to celebrate the 35th anniversary of our Pastor's ordination. He's a very humble guy and really embarassed by all the fuss. He suggested that if people would rather take a Sunday afternoon nap or stay home to watch the Bills game, they could. Of course, we all ignored that -- but somebody did have the game on in another room at church and every so often an update would get whispered around the tables during dinner. And not only did we all have a wonderful time, but the Bills won as well!

Fun! How nice to do something like that for someone who deserves a fuss even if he doesn't want one. ;-)

Alas, the Packers lost and our quarterback was hurt -- but dealing with loss is sometimes a part of being a Packer fan, lol! The Bears won, but we don't care about that. Even though we live in Chicago now, we just cannot find it in our hearts to support the Bears.

Yay for the Bills, though!
