Sean Bean alert

Sean's newest project is a film called "The Island" which begins filming in LA this month. Click here for more info: http://www.compleatseanbean.com/island.html

He also has two other films coming out this year -- "The Dark" and "Flight Plan". Here's what he has to say about it in a recent article: 'Sean Bean, coming off "Troy" and "National Treasure," has three movies due in 2005, including "The Island" with Ewan McGregor and "Flightplan" with Jodie Foster. "I play the pilot and it's based on these big massive air busses that are coming out that carry like 600 people," Bean said of the latter. "It all takes place on the plane and it's very gripping." Bean also recently completed the indie film "The Dark" with Maria Bello. "It's a very scary, very haunting piece," he said.'

For those who watch the SCI FI CHANNEL, you may have seen Sean's ads promoting it; for those who haven't yet seen that ad, you can watch it here -- it's marvelous! http://www.scifi.com/downloads/

Here's an article, which consists of questions from various fans and some interesting answers by Sean -- not to mention a nice picture! http://www.compleatseanbean.com/mainfeatures-90.html

And finally, here is a fun story about Sean and Nic Cage: http://www.compleatseanbean.com/mainfeatures-91.html

Still no news on the Sean Bean front concerning a new Sharpe movie. :-( I'd rather see him as Sharpe than James Bond... I think!

Thanks for the links. They're great.

And a toast to Prof. Tolkien. How grateful I am to him for bringing so many wonderful people (fictional and real) into my life.

If you do figure out how to save it, Boriel, I'd be indebted to you forever if you would share the load - er - secret!

Wow - Lin - thanks - lovely articles but AWESOME picture!!!

I would love to see more Sharpe - he is still Sharpe to me! But as soon as I saw him as Odysseus - I thought - wouldn't that make a spectacular movie with him in the lead role. I would so dearly love to see lots of him on the big screen instead of these little pieces/parts that we get now... and as the hero - that would be very nice too - Sorry, Sean - I can't see Pitt in that role!

And Bond would be nice! Wow

I haven't been able to manage that yet -- can you tell me how you are saving it to your HD? I'll give it a try, too!

Right! I see now that I misread your post, thinking you already knew how to nab it for your hard drive. ;-) What I have been doing is playing it whenever I am online, so that it remains in my temporary internet files on my computer; otherwise it takes forever for it to load with dial up! Not that I mind watching it every day...

:-D
