One of those days

I don't quite know how to describe how my day is going -- wild? unexpectedly crazy? a rat race where the rats are winning? It is not what I expected, and I was expecting it to be hectic. In other words it is worse than hectic. :-/

I am taking multi-tasking to new extremes this week, and the things I can't get to are getting worried about and fretted over to make up for not being able to do them. That includes daily life things here where I live, as well as responsibilities in other states and countries. ;-)

Hubby is in the same boat, so I can't off any of the things on my list onto his list. My son is holding his own just trying to get his own act together

I did have a very relaxing day yesterday -- but I was so relaxed that I forgot I was supposed to take food to a bereaved family. Double :-/! I called my friend and she was wonderful about it; as it turned out, they didn't need my food, but I still felt bad for forgetting.

I am looking forward to some things this week -- it's going to be fun to visit with [livejournal.com profile] pippinswolf's Awana group to talk to them about life in Pakistan. I get to dress up in my Pakistani clothes and I always like doing that -- so comfortable!

Now that I have taken a break to regroup and look at the wildness objectively, I am feeling a bit more capable. ;-) Now I will try to start my day over again and hope that I don't meet with a lot of unexpected things to throw me off track like I did when I came in to work -- all things that are part of what I do, but I don't usually have them meet me at the door when I come in!

Hoping you all are having a Monday that is going more smoothly than mine!

no worrying, remember? give it over to the One who can ease your mind and take on your worry for you. Will be praying for you today as i remember :D

You poor thing! I am praying that you will fing the time to get everything done. If not all of it, at least the most important stuff! (((Margaret)))

Thanks for the prayers and for that reminder -- I tell other people to do that, and forget to do it myself. As if I liked worrying about stuff! Which I don't, so I shall get rid of that burden forthwith. ((((b))))

Thanks, dear! Figuring out what's important and what can wait is a key task today, I think, so I shall need some wisdom! :-D

Eeek! That is a lot to deal with! You can be sure I will be sending prayers your way. I am going to see National Treasure tonight, and I shall think of you when Sean makes his appearance! Hehe.

I hope your day gets better, my friend! ((((Linaewen))))

Have a marvelous time! It is an incredibly fun film, I can't wait to get it on DVD. Sean is great, if I do say so myself -- a villain who is as clever as the good guy and bad enough to be the villain, and yet not evil, if you know what I mean. I shall say no more so as not to spoil anything!

When first you see him, he will look like this icon...

Hope things are calming down by now

It must be lunch time at least! hang in there, Lin. You always manage to squeak through (sorry, pun on the rats, very bad one though)

"Squeak" -- LOL! I LOVE that kind of pun, hehe! Yes, things are calming down I think, whew!

Don't feel too badly about forgetting things, you did remember in the long run, and got it taken care of, even if it was indirectly.

Take a breather, some time for yourself, even if its only 5 minutes. You can't get much done off the List of Doom in 5 minutes, right?
Close your eyes, and think of Boromir. Strong, handsome Boromir.

There. All better?

Love you! Here's hoping the rest of the week runs more smoothly.

(((((Lin))))). My thoughts will be with you. I KNOW you will rise to the tasks set before you.
