Ack!!!!

I called home to see if my mom got released from the hospital. She went home this morning and my dad went in to the hospital this afternoon! Seems he didn't eat right while he was alone, and went into a diabetic coma or something. My sister was there with my mom and when they couldn't wake him up, they called 911.

He seems to be snapping out of it, and will likely be home tomorrow, but it certainly gave my poor mom a turn! She sounded as weak as a kitten on the phone. However, I am encouraged to learn that my sister has cancelled everything she has on and is staying with them for a day or two -- as is my aunt -- so they will be well cared for until they get their strength back. My brother will also look in on them.

All other news seems tame compared to that, but in my own mundane world, I did not quite finish my project due today, so I am putting the rest off until tomorrow. I just got to that point where I had to quit -- so I did. ;-) I shall finish it in the morning.

Sounds like your folks are on the hospital 'frequent visitor' plan like we are - I swear, we have our own set of seats in the ER and all the triage nurses know us by name! I hope everyone is ok, Lin. I wish you could be closer and not have to hear everything long distance, giving you only the chance to worry... but your folks seem pretty tough! My thoughts are with you and with them. (((Lin)))

Thanks, my love! My dad is on a first name basis with everyone at the hospital, he's been there so often. Frequent visitor is right! I'm not too worried, they are pretty tough, actually. It was just unexpected. :-D
