Ack!!!!

I called home to see if my mom got released from the hospital. She went home this morning and my dad went in to the hospital this afternoon! Seems he didn't eat right while he was alone, and went into a diabetic coma or something. My sister was there with my mom and when they couldn't wake him up, they called 911.

He seems to be snapping out of it, and will likely be home tomorrow, but it certainly gave my poor mom a turn! She sounded as weak as a kitten on the phone. However, I am encouraged to learn that my sister has cancelled everything she has on and is staying with them for a day or two -- as is my aunt -- so they will be well cared for until they get their strength back. My brother will also look in on them.

All other news seems tame compared to that, but in my own mundane world, I did not quite finish my project due today, so I am putting the rest off until tomorrow. I just got to that point where I had to quit -- so I did. ;-) I shall finish it in the morning.

late as usual to the news of the day, so i am hoping that the news is better than when you first wrote this? Thinking of you and praying for your mom and dad.

Yes, the news is better, I think. They didn't keep my dad in the hospital, just got him back on his feet and sent him home. Hopefully it won't be too much for my mom to handle, having him under the weather as well -- she's worn out still. But my family is pitching in to help.
