They came, they saw, they conquered

Well, almost.

The infamous work team arrived last night, and got right to work. By the time I came down for breakfast this morning, my kitchen was half packed up -- by the time I get home from work today, I expect it to be totally dismantled! That's okay -- though I wasn't quite expecting it to happen that quickly, and I really hope I will be able to find the things I need in the meantime. The team seems to have decided to start all the work at once, which ought to help ensure that it all gets done on time -- I hope -- but it also makes it a bit difficult for those of us who live there and are left standing with our mouths a bit open, wondering what happened, as well as what is going to happen next and will we have any control over it.

I was never more thankful to get to work this morning, so that I could have a day of relative peace and quiet before getting back into the thick of things. I'm even getting some things done, in spite of starting the day out befuddled.

At least I don't have to cook a meal tonight -- they are doing that for all of us -- but I'm not sure of anything else right now. I'll keep you all posted and let you know how it turns out. :-D

They also did some cleaning that I hadn't gotten around to, so that's also a good thing. It will be worth it in the end, but sometimes it takes an effort to remember that amidst the chaos!

I made that icon specifically for this post, but I like it. I need to get a better screen cap of that befuddled shot of Boromir, and redo it, but it will do for now.
