Whew!

I'm home alone for the first time in ages, and it is a blessing. I almost had to go out in the heat with a fever and feeling wretched, in order to see that my son got delivered to the conference registration on time -- but Dear Hubby (knight in white armor that he is) arrived back from numerous airport runs in the nick of time to save me the trip.

We've had a lovely time visiting with old friends this weekend and meeting new ones, but it would have been so much nicer if I had been 100% healthy. Basically I am counting the hours until I can get in to my doctor. First thing tomorrow...

Sorry to complain so much; I haven't been sick enough for the doctor for a loooong time. And it couldn't have come at a worse time as far as my work load goes. Prayers would be appreciated!
