linaewen: (Panic Button by wizzicons)

Not quite panicking

I'm using my Panic Button icon today, just so I know where it is in case I need it.  ;-)

I'm not quite in over my head with things to do, and I haven't quite been overpowered as yet by my List of Doom, but I am nevertheless feeling a bit of pressure from the things that remain undone around here.

Today I am working on editing a procedure and policy manual, and it's taking way longer than I expected.  It's supposed to be turned in tomorrow, but as it seems the thing has never properly been edited before, it's a real chore.  But I shall continue to plug away at it, while trying not to think of other things that would be more interesting to do.

I raked leaves again yesterday, so my back is a bit miffed with me, but not in a way that has me laid up, so that's something!  I don't plan on raking any more leaves for some time, though there are still some that have not fallen as yet.  I imagine there will be at least one more yard day before the big snows come.

Later in the day, I'm heading over to the house -- with as many packed boxes as I can manage to prepare in between editing the policy manual and having lunch -- to help Hubby do some stuff in preparation for sanding down the hardwood floors.  He's been having trouble getting the plumbing in the torn out bathroom to work properly, but assuming he has that under control, he'll be ready to move on to the next thing.  We really need to get a move on here, as we only have 3 weeks left to do everything in.

*hand hovers briefly over the Panic Button*

I suspect we'll have a tile-shopping day sometime this week, for the bathroom.  We have chosen our tile, but only bought one piece to use as a color comparison for everything else we are putting into the bathroom.  Here's a rather blurry picture of the border tile we have chosen:

The design is called "Renaissance."  A bit ostentatious for the world's tiniest bathroom, perhaps, but I think it is going to look spiffy.  I'll do a photo shoot when we are all done.  We have to order the sink special, so we will be forced to use the icky one for awhile.

Well, I better get back to things, before the Panic Button starts tempting me to press it.  ;-)  May you all have a panic-free day today, my dear friends!

ETA:  I am pressing the Panic Button because I cannot bear any longer trying to decide over and over again whether the word team should be capitalized or not in this Policy Manual.  I think I finally have it figured out what the difference is between a small t team and a capital T team, but that means I have to start over from the beginning and redo things.  I have asked for an extension on the Policy Manual of Doom.

*sigh*

Time for coffee and something different to apply my brain to, methinks.

Just remember that there is no "I" in team... but there is a 'ME' if you jumble it up a little! ;-)

Hee! Too true!

I got an extension, yay! So now I can put it away for bit and come back to it fresh.

Could you not do a find/replace for that Team/team situation?

I love that tile sooo much! I would choose that tile for myself in a heartbeat!

All will be accomplished and in three weeks you will be ready - may you be peaceful in that knowing, my dear! *hugs!*

Lovely tile! Today was a rough work day for me too, ((((((Lin)))))). Good luck with the policy manual of doom!

It's beautiful tile! And why have you forgotten that size doesn't matter? Oh, that's right, you're not a Frodo fan but a Boromir fan. Hmmm... I thought Boromir figured out that size doesn't matter. Maybe you need to take some time to read LOTR again. ;-D Breathe In Breathe Out and remember "Gondor will see it done." (((Lin))) ~~ LHB
