Am I sick, or what?

I had the oddest day yesterday, I was soooooo tired, I just couldn't function.  I felt just a tiny bit ill on Saturday evening, then yesterday I woke up feeling not very rested.  I literally slept through church (which I usually don't do), so when we got home, I threw food on the table for the boys and went to bed.  I had a very long nap, and felt slightly less limp afterwards, but not entirely.  I still feel odd this morning, like I haven't been getting enough sleep (which is possible, we had disturbed sleep a couple of times this week due to the neighbors' dogs barking), or like I do after I've been sick with a fever and am now recovering -- except I haven't been sick, that I know of.  Guess I'll have to just keep taking it easy and sleep when I feel like it, so I can recover from whatever is making me like this -- or prevent whatever might be coming.  ;-)

So today's plan will be to take it easy and feel better.  Not a bad thing to do on a Monday, I guess!

For those of you who can't take time off this week -- even if you ought to -- I am hoping and praying that you will find yourself some breathing room amidst your busyness and stress:

"In the rush of life, may you always find
time and space
for the people and activities
that refresh your soul.
May what seems most urgent never
distract you
from what is most important."

I hope you're feeling better today! I spent the weekend with a migraine and sinus troubles, in a darkened house, unable to tolerate any light or much sound. Since I do most house cleaning and pet maintenance on weekends, I feel behind before the week has started!

That quote reminds me of a little book about the tyranny of the urgent.

I have read that little book! It's very helpful.

Sorry about your migraine and such, I do hope it has subsided and that you are feeling better. I am much improved, now that I have caught up on my rest. I am a bit tired at the moment, but that's from shoveling snow, hehe!

Resting is always a good thing, especially on a Monday!!!

Mondays are good for skipping, aren't they? :-D I'm doing much better today, even had energy for shoveling snow!

That is such an excellent quote and fits right in with Hapendfro's post of the jar story last week.

I was worried about you last night. I am glad you are planning to rest today. Unexplained tiredness is worrisome so be on the lookout for any other symptoms so you can take proper action to make yourself well. I am praying you are tired because you successfully fended off an illness and are allowing your immune system to recover.

*hugs*

I seem to be fine today -- except for feeling a bit tired from shoveling snow, lol! Luckily it was light and fluffy snow. I am thinking I just was overtired from too much lost sleep (and maybe a wee bout with bug), and it caught up with me. I had two days of pretty much loafing, and good sleeping at night, so that has helped me.

Remembering you through this dark time.

Thanks, Tom! I'm much better today. I guess I just needed to slow down a bit and do some sleeping. ;-)

How are you faring these days?

***hugs back***

I'm feeling much better now, it seems to have just been not enough sleep catching up with me.

*worries*

I used the Borders Gift certificate. yay! Thank you! I ordered the battlestar galactica soundtrack. Haunting and lovely music.

Ooo, that sounds like a good buy! Haunting and lovely is a good thing.

I am better, so don't worry. It seems to have been just some passing kind of tired thing. Probably my body telling me to give it a break, lol!

I think napping is much underrated and I like to nap at every possible opportunity - like in a few minutes!

I hope you feel better, love!

[identity profile] lin4gondor.livejournal.com 2007-01-30 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Hope you had a good one! Napping is good, and I should do it more often. We used to have to nap daily in Pakistan, there was just something about living there that required a daily nap. I could use one now, actually, but I'm about to go out and run errands instead. ;-)

I do feel better. Not sure what the deal was, but I guess it's decided to move on.

[identity profile] accioboytoy.livejournal.com 2007-01-31 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I used to nap more often but now that my every movement is monitored and dissected and then I'm given crap about it I don't do it as often. My snoring is audible and I'm bad - bad - bad.
