Just like our winters in North Dakota - one thing I DON'T miss! We've been in the teens and single digit temps here and that's more than enough for me! Oh, by the way, it doesn't get "too cold to snow", it's just that snow usually comes when a slightly warmer air mass meets the colder.

Now, for some frigidly cold weather fun: When it's in the 10 below zero temps, bundle up well, boil a pan of water and while it's still boiling run (carefully of course) outside and fling the water in the air away from you. The shock of boiling water hitting such cold air causes it to explode into little ice crystals. Bang! We did that in ND when Meg was little and it was so neat. Try some food coloring in the water too, if it works you can get blue or red or whatever ice crystals.
