Mom update and other stuff

I talked to my mom on the phone, she sounded good. Her surgery today went well, though she won't know how successful it was until she gets the bandage off her eye tomorrow. Her eye was paining her a bit, and the adhesive from the bandage is itchy, so do keep praying that she will be able to get good rest tonight!

In other health news, my blood pressure is still a bit wonky, but I'm doing all the right things, and because it isn't consistently high high, I have confidence that behaving myself in the excercise/drinking water/reducing salt department will answer my need. Along with everyone's prayers, which is the best treatment, I do believe.

DH is still doing research, but my son is getting ready to start beating him with his credit card so they can make a decision on the new motherboard for his almost derelict computer. Trying to get hubby out of "cheap" mode into "more expensive but definitely a better upgrade" mode is the current discussion going on at our house. :-D

I've given up on the discussion, hee! Nathan's going to start playing the "it's my money, I'm willing to spend it" card. Doug just can't seem to make a decision until he's made sure he knows all there is to know, which is always helpful in the long run. But still aggravating! :-D

Sounds like positive news so far, though I am sorry your mother is uncomfortable. I think you've probably got your BP licked as well, but I will continue to offer prayer support for both of you.

LOL, it sounds like your DH is teaching a valuable lesson in not spending money rashly, while your DS may just remind him that the time eventually comes when you need to go with your best information and act. Must be kinda fun to watch, though I expect you may be mentally banging their heads together from time to time, lol.
