I'm home, but no break in sight
Aug. 2nd, 2004 08:38 amI am home, after successfully cooking for 10 days for a pack of hungry darbies (as my Scots grandmother would say; darbies are crows) and thoroughly convincing everyone that I want to do this again next summer. :-/
Though I am home, I am definitely not yet getting a break. A pack of guests are here -- leaving at intervals this morning -- and I have to wash all their stuff for the next batch, when they are done with it, which I hope is before lunchtime. Friends of ours who also worked overseas in Pakistan are coming this afternoon or tomorrow for a several-day visit, and a few other stray guests will be in and out -- especially today.
I hope I have time to go to the office this week, as I have a project that can't be done unless I am there, and which must be done before I leave for Boston on the weekend. I also hope I get a rest before I have to start packing!!!
I'm getting pretty excited for my Boston trip. Can't wait to spend a whole weekend with my good friends!!
