I don't quite know how to describe how my day is going -- wild? unexpectedly crazy? a rat race where the rats are winning? It is not what I expected, and I was expecting it to be hectic. In other words it is worse than hectic. :-/

I am taking multi-tasking to new extremes this week, and the things I can't get to are getting worried about and fretted over to make up for not being able to do them. That includes daily life things here where I live, as well as responsibilities in other states and countries. ;-)

Hubby is in the same boat, so I can't off any of the things on my list onto his list. My son is holding his own just trying to get his own act together

I did have a very relaxing day yesterday -- but I was so relaxed that I forgot I was supposed to take food to a bereaved family. Double :-/! I called my friend and she was wonderful about it; as it turned out, they didn't need my food, but I still felt bad for forgetting.

I am looking forward to some things this week -- it's going to be fun to visit with [livejournal.com profile] pippinswolf's Awana group to talk to them about life in Pakistan. I get to dress up in my Pakistani clothes and I always like doing that -- so comfortable!

Now that I have taken a break to regroup and look at the wildness objectively, I am feeling a bit more capable. ;-) Now I will try to start my day over again and hope that I don't meet with a lot of unexpected things to throw me off track like I did when I came in to work -- all things that are part of what I do, but I don't usually have them meet me at the door when I come in!

Hoping you all are having a Monday that is going more smoothly than mine!

Today's Word of the Day on My Yahoo is --

exacerbate

DEFINITION: (verb) to make worse or more severe
EXAMPLE: Lin already has plenty to keep her occupied, that editing job that Mr. B wants right away will only exacerbate the problem. (Sentence somewhat altered in order to put it in my context. :-D)
SYNONYMS: aggravate, infuriate, intensify

Now I have a word to describe how my day is going, hehe! Maybe if I'd looked at My Yahoo first, I would have been prepared.

Actually, things are under control, though still hectic. And yay! It's almost time for lunch!
