I have been released from confinement -- the floors can now be walked on (and look beautiful, BTW) -- though at one point during the day yesterday I did have to resort to going out the 2nd floor window and down the ladder to make lunch, and then up again to deliver it. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to on my various projects for some reason. But that's how life usually goes!
The evening was spent helping Hubby and Son unload a U Haul and carry heavy kitchen cabinets and appliances, purchased used for the future renovation of the kitchen. The volunteer help got sick at the last minute, so it was just us, hauling stuff in the rain and the dark -- an adventure I could have done without, but we managed fairly well in spite of it. :-/
Today I have to try to get something accomplished at work, in spite of feeling dozy, so that I can cut out early and try to see if I can get some help with this silly eyeglasses situation.
I've already had a few unexpected things happen today that I could have done without, but they have been settled nicely, and it is quiet once more.
Hopefully it will stay that way!
