Unpacking Boromir

And here's what they are talking about:
Boromir lies in state
Boromir, a closeup view
It's a stunning sight, to be sure. He really does look like he's going to sit up at any moment and climb out of the boat and walk away!

The email mystery is solved, after a fashion. We can access our email everywhere but at home -- guess it has something to do with dialup. Great. Guess we'll have to figure out a way to cope with that little inconvenience, until we get somewhere and set up for DSL or cable. Ho hum!
Unpacking Boromir's boat and body double was an eerie experience today. The body looks REAL. You'd swear he was asleep in the boat. Even three inches away, while I was cleaning the boat, he still looks real. The level of craftsmanship is beyond belief! People working in the gallery would gather to see him and automatically speak in hushed voices.
The boat itself is a lovely thing, made by a professional boat builder and given a silver-gray finish suggesting the mist and water of the river.
... unpacking Boromir was quite an experience this week. The model is so real, that it’s unnerving. His hands were probably the most noticeable to me – their coloring and texture was so much like real skin, that is was hard to believe that I was looking at a model. It’s particularly eerie after hearing a story from another venue (I can’t remember if it was Houston or Boston). Apparently, they unpacked the Boromir model and there was moisture on his face as though he’d been sweating.
