Hey, it's working!
Nov. 11th, 2005 07:00 pmWell, after at least 10 tries, I got my computer to sign on to the internet and even got my web pages to open, so here I am. Too bad I don't have much to say -- but since when did that stop me?
Thanks to all of you who encouraged me yesterday in my doldrums, it was much appreciated. I'm doing much better today -- I'm still in much the same situation, but I'm handling it better. I did some work on my computer this evening and it feels good to get a job done, in spite of being discombobulated!
In other good news, we visited the ministry center in Chicago where we hope to eventually work, and met with some former coworkers for a Pakistani meal (which was totally excellent!) and good conversation about how we can work together. Tomorrow, we go to my folks house where my boy is staying -- I haven't seen him for a couple of weeks, so that will be a good day. We won't be bringing him back with us until we have a home for him to settle in, but we will relieve him of some of the claustrophobia-inducing boxes that are stacked in the room he is staying in.
Oops, someone needs the phone, grrrrr!
