In college I took a class in the physical geography of Wisconsin, which included a study of the weather and climate.  One thing we learned was that if you are unhappy with the weather here, fear not!  Simply wait a minute and it will change.  During the course of that class, we had a snowstorm and a tornado in the course of a single week, so that adage was certainly proved true, lol!

That's what's happening this week, too.  Not the snow and the tornado, thankfully, but the change is almost as drastic.  Just two days ago we were panting in the heat and the humidity, and today it's so cool and dry, I'm running for my sweatshirt and socks.  If it were this cool in my house in December, I'd be turning up the heat!  :-D  But something about it being June makes it seem different, and quite, quite lovely.  It is a joy to do anything today, even inside the house, the weather is that gorgeous.

DH and I are going to pick raspberries today at his parent's house today -- they are gone and said we could have anything we pick.  Raspberries are my most favorite of all food, so I'm happy to oblige, even if it means being out in the sun for a bit.  I'll wear my long sleeves and my hat and I'll be in good shape.  We've also gotten tons of strawberries from the inlaws.  Hubby wants something tasty made (like shortcake) for him to pour his strawberries over, and since he's done all the work of picking and preparing, I can't refuse that, can I?  Not that I would anyway, lol!  He's so cute when he gets that strawberry shortcake gleam in his eye.

There's a fireworks show this evening that one of the big churches in town is putting on.  We had a glimpse of it last year and it was better than the one the city does -- and that's saying a lot!  So we are going to nip over there tonight for some fireworks and maybe some listening to bands.  I might take advantage of being over there to take a walk on the Ice Age trail which runs through that part of town.

But I'll be sure to wear socks and a sweatshirt.  I think it's going to be on the cool side.
