Today feels like Monday for some reason, maybe because I woke up thinking how busy I'm going to be this week.  ;-)  I was so busy yesterday, I think my day got away from me and now it is Tuesday and I didn't even notice Monday go by.

I know, I know, you all are thinking, when is she NOT busy?  ;-)  Well, there is some truth to that, but this is a different kind of busy.  This is working my muscles going places getting ready for visitors kind of busy, not sitting in my chair fretting about my List kind of busy.  If you know what I mean about that difference.  Anyway, it's a good kind of busy -- the kind that produces more energy rather than depleting it!

Today I am hoping to escape some of the gardening chores due to impending rain, so I can spend my time really doing some cleaning and organizing that needs doing before a friend comes to visit in a week.  Things are basically okay in the house, but with all the odd little house fix-up jobs we are doing, there is just a lot of stuff around that shouldn't be.  And there are still boxes sitting there unpacked.  I guess it really does take months and months (if not years) to settle into a new house.  I'd like to get some of those boxes unpacked and find a home for the stuff in them, because I really do need it.  This rooting around in boxes to find something I'm looking for is a real nuisance, lol!  I'd like to have the place neat enough at all times that a visitor could actually drop in at any time -- I used to be able to do that, when I lived overseas, because visitors dropping in was something that happened daily.  Doesn't happen so much in the US, though.  Too bad!

Anyway, that's the plan for today.  Tomorrow, I'm helping my mother-in-law with her "junk sorting"  instead of my own.  She's got a lot of health issues and doesn't move around easily, and so I've offered to help her clean out a room she is trying to organize better for her sewing and quilting.

I am thankful to report that I did not have nearly the trouble with novacaine that I was expecting over the weekend, after my Friday dental trip.  It was such a nice day that I walked to the office and walked home afterwards (albeit a bit unsteadily), and I think that must have made a difference to how I reacted!  So that was a blessing.  I am finally done with all that dental stuff, at least until fall.  I decided not to have them work on a wee problem that is currently only in the "needs attention someday but right now it's not an issue" category.  I think I'll let our finances recover from the recent gouging they took from our dental work, as well as my novacaine filled head!

That's my chota mota for the day!

I glanced quick at your icon and thought it was monster teeth...*shakes head* I obviously didn't nap long enough.

Take a break and come help me sort my junk, will you? Its time, as Brynn is fond of telling me - ONLY 4 WEEKS left of school. I need to get a move on!

I'm glad you're done dentally for a while; all that Novocaine does weird things to the brain *cue spooky music*

*hugs you*

I totally know how hard it is to spur yourself to begin thinking of sorting and packing -- actually, thinking about it is the easy part, doing it is another matter entirely. The whole thought of moving should make you want to hop to it and be ready, when what actually happens is you dive all the deeper into rpging or writing or anything just to avoid the stress of doing it. I know of what I speak, says the woman who does exactly the same thing. ;-)

I sure am thinking of you in these days, and praying that it will be an amazingly good time for you as you get ready to move, though that seems impossible. May the goal of getting to your own place help you in those times when you just can't bear the sight of another box or a another important paper that needs sorting into something other than a box labeled "to be dealt with when I have time to think of it, but not now, I'm too stressed."

I think I'm getting my second wind, rather than slowing down! :-D I hope I take after my Scottish granny, who was still doing laundry in her wringer washer when she was 100 years old. As long as she was working, she stayed healthy!

Thanks! Sorting and organizing is a thing I like to do, once I get started. It's just getting started that is the problem!
