linaewen: (Shades National Treasure)
Nothing much new to report today. Work goes on apace, with lots of writing and proofreading to do, especially as we are trying to get our mission's quarterly magazine out. I shall have a couple of articles in it, besides having had much to do with the editorial side of things. It's a fascinating thing to be involved with -- even if it does begin to overwhelm me at times.

Let's just say, I am getting to be pretty adept at multi-tasking -- I was in doubt for awhile, but I seem to be on top of it again. ;-)

I'm looking forward to a few days off next week; if we don't get an invitation to someone else's place, we shall be home for Thanksgiving, doing the big meal routine. The day after, we are planning a visit to historic Valley Forge, a place my son has been wanting to see since he found out how close it is. I wonder if we will have time to visit Daniel Boone's homestead, which is right next door...?

I won't be able to go see National Treasure on opening day, as we have guests coming in, and I am a bit behind in the housework end of things. :-/ But I have high hopes for Saturday. A date with the family to see Sean Bean in action -- what fun!

Well, back to multi-tasking!

Here's the link to their website. If we get there, I'll try to take some pictures!

There are possible snow showers for Thanksgiving Day here -- my son thinks we need to go to Valley Forge in the snow, for the full historical experience. ;-)

That sounds like a wonderful trip. A few semester ago the collage had this guy name Scott New come and perform for us. And he did Daniel Boone. He was wonderful he even dressed as him and just did one of the many stories in Daneil Boone life. He also talked about the homestead. And it sounded wonderful then to. He also talked about Daniel's living family. I hope one day to go and see that.

I bet that was fascinating! I have always been interested in Daniel Boone, so I am looking forward to visiting his family homestead.
Ok lets hope that this one goes thro. Yes it was very fascinating. Mr. Scott New life is Daniel Boone and bring his chacater to life. He is often at the homestead so when you are there he may be and he may do one of his outstanding preformace. I am hoping that he will cake again showing at Murray State for it will be worth seeing again.
