Ah, March in Wisconsin! Always interesting! In recent days we have gone from quite a few inches of snow to no snow and springlike temperatures, followed by thunder and lightning and tornado warnings, to rain and dense fog this morning that has suddenly (and I mean suddenly) disappeared and become bright sun and blue sky -- and snow is possible again this evening. Never a dull moment around here, when it comes to the weather.

I've mentioned this before, but no matter. Hubby is up to his ears in dusty stuff this week, as he prepares to sell as much of our junk as he can -- and as I'll let him. ;-) He has scheduled a sale for Saturday. We are trying to decide through the sharing of lists by email what is important to bring back here, what we want to save and store there (either for transportation back here or for use when we return), and what we can live without and get rid of in order to reduce the bulk of our belongings there. We still have some hopes of going back and using the stuff sometime or other, so we don't want to get rid of everything. It's interesting looking at the lists Hubby is sending and trying to decide if these things are really as important as they were when I packed them up three years ago.

My lower back is bothering me quite a bit today, so I am going to try to vary my work for the day to combine both walking about and sitting. Sitting is a nuisance, but that's what a lot of my work today entails -- sitting at the computer dealing with emails and reports. Ho hum!

My List of Doom today is too long and too boring to share, so I won't -- but seeing as how the sun is even brighter than it was when I started this post, I think a walk outside will be in order, while it's still spring and before the snow starts. Good for clearing cobwebs from the brain and for relieving sciatica before it gets a hold on me.

Hope you all have a pleasant day of getting things done on this Monday!

Thanks, Tom! Right now, all I want is to make my poor hubby's life easier. Just 11 more days now until he gets back...

Love that icon!

Having moved - and packed - and packed and moved again, I don't envy either you or Doug this task. And doing it via email requires a huge amount of trust...I don't even want to imagine what Rich and I would wind up with if we tried an experiment like this. You two are amazing!

Make sure you get up and stretch...a good exercise for lower back pain is as follows: lie on your back, legs bent. Make sure your back is pressed as flat as possible against the floor, bed, whatever you're using, then suck in your stomach as far as you can, like you were trying to have your belly button and spine meet. Then, exhale little by little until you can breathe but your stomach isn't all the way out. This is, supposedly, your back's natural alignment. Hold it for a count of 10, then exhale and repeat. It does actually work!

Oh, and take a warm bath! =D

I can't even count the number of times we've done the pack/unpack/repack thing, it's getting old. In the long run it's probably easier if I don't see it in person, though. Seeing my long lost treasures on a bare list takes away some of the appeal and I'm able to look at it with a more practical eye. I think Doug is doing his best to humor me, though. Sure hope he found my missing Tolkien poster!!!

Thank you for that suggestion for the back, I will try that. That stretching exercise does sound like it would really feel good. I've had good relief today from a microwaveable hot pack in a brace that stays right where I want it even when I walk around.

Warm bath -- good idea! But Harry can stay outside in the hall. ;-)

Are you nuts? Him being IN there is the whole point of the exercise!

What if Harry and I take one end, and leave you and Mr. Bean the other end?

*and, yes, that stretching exercise does work and feel better almost immediately.
