A wee reminder in case you didn't know or can't remember what "chota mota" means -- it's Urdu for "small fat" and is used like our phrase "this and that" or "bits and bobs."
My bits and bobs for today are as follows:
It's going to be a beautiful day, which is welcome after the rain drenching we got yesterday. Even so, yesterday's rain was not a burden, because it was still spring-like, and we needed a steady soaking here. Everything is so much greener after the rain when the sun comes out again! Makes me almost thankful for gloomy days, helps me appreciate the sun even more when it comes out again -- which it always does! Both literally and figuratively!
I had a very good weekend. Yesterday we had a family get together (hubby's side of the family) and it was one of the few times in many years that just about the whole family was there at one time or another during the day. A couple of families weren't there because they live out of state, but it was pleasant to catch up with everyone who managed to drop in. I'm never quite sure how this kind of gathering is going to go, when there is such a mix of different kinds of people whom you haven't seen for a really long time, but it was really good.
Today is a great day to go for a drive in southern Wisconsin, and that's what I'm going to do today. This afternoon I'm leaving my boys and driving to where my folks live to stay for two nights. It's just a short visit, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm taking my laundry (under strict orders from my mom, hee!) and some clothing I am going to put up for sale at a consignment shop they have there. I hope I have time to do all the things I've thought of doing while I'm back home! But whatever I get done, it will all be fun stuff -- "me" stuff.
In case anyone cares, today is Sean Bean's birthday, so to commemorate the day, I'm sharing some links to some recent articles about him plus a fun picture taken recently at the UK screening of Sharpe's Challenge.
