Almost home

My week plus of cooking is over -- I cooked my last meal yesterday.  *heaves big sigh of relief*  Today it is just packing up our stuff while I wait for my hubby to return.  He is driving the moving van from the training conference here back to the place where all the stuff will be stored until next year, then driving the empty van back.  He should be here this evening some time.  We fly out in the morning.

I got an early start on the day today by going to the laundromat with dirty linens and stuff from the kitchen for washing and drying so it could be packed away in the moving truck.  Did you know that it takes sheets twice as long to dry when they know they are being waited for?  The van couldn't leave until I had dry linens for them to pack away.  I spent $20 at the laundromat to wash and dry in big machines, on just a few loads of laundry, so I am no longer going to complain about the measly dollar a load I have to pay at my apartment building!  Thankfully, I got reimbursed for that $20.

I can't wait to get home!  Yay!

Congratulations on surviving the cooking - I was just talking about you at our church potluck as we ran around trying to get everything set up. May you soon be home and able to have a couple things that are prefabricated from the microwave.

YAY!! You're soon to be headed home!! Safe journey! I'm so glad the adventure went well and was a success. And yes, it's amazing how inanimate objects somehow *know* in what way to best interfere with progress! Funny, sounds like kids...
