Weary, but it was worth it...
Jun. 3rd, 2004 09:38 amI stayed up until the extremely wee hours of the morning with the book I was editing for work. It may seem a bit foolish to have worn myself out like that, but I was determined to finish it so I could send it back to the office this morning, just so my "day off" would be preserved intact. It was worth it, as I now have the day before me, and it is mine -- I hope! As long as I am not needed to do a final run-through yet today, before it goes to the printer...!
I feel rather tired now, but I am awake enough to do as I please today -- at least for now; I have learned to hold my days off lightly, as there is often something that comes up that changes my plan. Only one responsibility so far, and that is to hike to the library to return a stack of books. The hike will be good for me, it is a nice day, and the library is always a good place to go!
Now, while I am alone -- and ignoring all the housework and laundry and dishes that need doing -- I think I will retreat to Middle-earth for a little R & R. Shall it be watching ROTK alone, with headphones? Or perhaps FOTR Extended? Shall it be writing an inkling starring Boromir, Lord of Gondor? Do I have time for all of those things? We'll see....
;-)
Edited: Welp, guess what? I got called in to work. That's where I am now, reading through this thing once more, making sure all the corrections were made correctly and looking for last minute problems. Oh, and doing a few other editing jobs that came up when they heard I was here...
