Chota mota -- the smallness and fatness of my week

This icon is fitting for this week, because it makes me think of being prepared for anything, like in a game of soccer. You know the rules and the rules apply and make the game predictable, but sometimes the ball comes to you when you least expect it, and if you aren't watching it will hit you in the head -- and that's what makes the game exciting. ;-) So far this week, I've fielded what's been passed to me quite nicely, so I am pleased.

In spite of many opportunities for my plans to fall apart yesterday, I managed to get quite a bit done and I actually had the energy to do it all -- for which I am exceedingly thankful. I pray that this will continue throughout this week, which has more of the same kind of possible wildness. ;-) I have no true days off this week, just days at home filled with a lot of hullabaloo, in addition to all the normal kinds of things I do.

Prophetic words

Remember what I said this morning about soccer and unexpected balls hitting you in the head if you aren't looking? I seem to recall saying it was exciting...

Well, hardly an hour had passed when I was bopped a good one on the noggin with something very unexpected -- it turned out that my Hubby's meeting this afternoon with all the folks involved in the renovation project of our guest house was going to be at the guest house. Where we live. Which I didn't know. Until it was too late to tidy up. Exciting, for sure!

Oh, well, I coped without too much more than a muttered comment about people assuming I know things that I don't actually know, and how my Hubby is not a detail person when it comes telling me about his scheduled events, and went on to enjoy my luncheon anyway. I had a few minutes between lunch and the meeting to at least put a few things away, so it turned out okay. Thank goodness!
