Touching base
Jul. 29th, 2005 02:23 pmThought I'd better provide an update on how I'm doing, in case anyone was wondering. I am still coughing and snorting like I'm sick, but I don't feel sick anymore. My voice is low enough to pass for Christopher Lee at the moment, but that's the norm when I have had a cold. I'll be happy when the cough decides to leave, but at the moment, it seems to be serving a purpose, so I guess I'll let it stay.
Hubby and I were going to see The Island yesterday, but in the end, he decided he didn't want to go, so I went alone. No matter what the critics said to try to inflence me otherwise, I enjoyed the film very much, and not just for The Bean, either. But I must admit, it was nice seeing him often throughout the film, even if he was villainous. ;-)
I have no special plans for the weekend, except to decide if Hubby and I are going to do anything special on Monday to celebrate our anniversary -- 24 years, it'll be. Wheee! We'll probably be too busy and forget all about it or something. Hopefully, the weekend will remain somewhat cool, so I can get some work done. Our 100 year old house is impossible to keep cool in the heat and humidity, even with window-unit AC's. I must do some major housecleaning!!
Looking ahead, we've got a trip to Wisconsin coming up, which will involve camping at our favorite campground. I shall have to wear better hiking shoes this time around, so as not to ruin the experience with blisters.
Guess that's it. Not much to write home about, but that's what touching base is, I guess. ;-)
Have a relaxing weekend, friends.
