Today's expenses
Nov. 30th, 2005 03:26 pmI spent $8.00 worth of quarters to do laundry today; at least I didn't have to leave the building. I got a bit of exercise doing it, going up and down, which makes it somewhat easier to bear, I guess.
It's roughly 3 miles to the library from where we live, one way. We try to combine the library/internet trip with other errands, to save on gas, but that makes for a long day out and not getting much done at home. I'm not sure I'll be coming here everyday after this, even if we don't have internet at home yet -- even though I don't like feeling like I'm missing something, or wondering if someone's written me an email, or read and replied to a post. Thankfully, today I've had a couple of emails to read and some LJ posts to look at to make me feel like I'm still somewhat in touch and being kept in the loop. And there's only so many times I can send emails to people saying, "still no phone, still no internet, still have a cold, still have a messy house, still snowing."
Hopefully we'll get some decent snow tonight that will stick. That would be a nice way to end the month. Not much point living in Wisconsin if you can't enjoy the frigid weather properly. ;-)
