Calm after the storm
May. 2nd, 2006 10:42 amYesterday was a rainy day -- though there was enough of a break that DH's church softball league game was still on, and so that was a fun thing to do before it started raining again. Last night the rain was pretty fierce, but today, the sky is blue with just a few white clouds, and the sun is bright and -- well, sunny! :-D Everything has a clean, washed look to it. What's especially nice is that it isn't that warm, in spite of the sun -- the breeze is lovely cool, the perfect setting for a nice walk.
Hubby and I took a walk in the Rotary Gardens yesterday after the game and before the return of the rain -- what a calming place! I plan to go there again soon and enjoy the peacefulness again, as well as take some photos so I can share it with you. They have an authentic Scottish garden and a Japanese garden and a few other lovely spots I haven't explored yet.
The computer fiasco is settled and all is up and running properly. We even seem to have solved the problem of the intermittent cutting out of the internet -- which means we probably had it set up wrong in the first place. What a relief to not have to fuss with that anymore. I feel calmer already.
My mom continues to improve, slowly but surely.
My BP is still wonky, but I think I am starting to lose weight again, so that should make a big difference.
Today's goals are the same as yesterday's, since I didn't get much of that done with all the computer hassling. I also have a PowerPoint presentation to get working on; I've never done one myself before, but it looks doable. I shall be learning as I go!
Have a calming day, my dears!
