What is a friend?
May. 9th, 2006 08:00 amI found this little gem while doing some research for my PowerPoint presentation. I remember I used to have this proverb on a poster hung on my refrigerator. It's worth remembering -- we all need such a friend from time to time, don't we? And it's a good reminder to BE that kind of friend, too.
"A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away."
- Arabian Proverb
*hugs my friends -- gently*
Today's plan is to keep plugging away at this project, and hopefully finish it today. I also have to do something about some of the mess that has accumulated about me so that I don't cringe everytime I look up from my computer! Maybe on one of my breaks... I shall start, however, with a nice walk with my DH, on a quest to buy rolls of quarters at the closest bank, so I can do laundry today!
