Things to say YAY about
Feb. 3rd, 2007 04:40 pmI'm feeling pretty pleased about a couple of things of late -- nothing major, but there's nothing that says joy can't come from the little things as well as the big things!
In no particular order:
1. Brett Favre is foregoing retirement for another year at least, so Number 4 will be back with the Pack next season. This is a good thing for all of us Cheeseheads. As always, hope springs eternal when it comes to a possible winning season, so even though our arch rivals are in the SuperBowl this year instead of us, hope is still alive that the Packers will get there next year. :-D
2. Our third attempt at purchasing a sink that doesn't clash with our bathroom tile has been successful!! The white with marbled shades of brown sink top arrived today and has passed the color test. Now all we need is the wooden cabinet and mirror set to arrive, and we can finish putting the bathroom together.
3. I found the missing card reader to our digital camera, so when I get a round tuit, I can upload some real photos, instead of having to rely solely on my cell phone!
4. I lost a tiny bit more weight last week, so I am inching slowly towards my goal. No pun intended. ;-) I'd go out for a walk to help my weight loss along, but the wind chill factor is -36 below zero at the moment, so I guess I'll pass on that for today.
5. Speaking of the wind chill, my DS just called to report that he is having a great time out in the cold delivering newspapers -- if having icicles on his glasses and in his moustache counts as fun. We managed to find him a warmer winter coat and a ski mask last week, in the nick of time for the really cold weather. The YAY part of this is that he can be out in the cold, which he likes, and I don't have to be. Yay! Still, I think he'll need some hot cocoa when he gets back...
6. I'm going to visit my parents on Monday and staying for a few days. I'm kind of looking forward to having a break, even though I am going to work. I have stuff stored over at their place that I'd like to deal with once and for all, so I'm going to spend some time there sorting and packing. I can also be on hand to drive my mom for a dental procedure, visit with my sister, and maybe get a visit in with a friend or two as well. Still, packing is what I'm going for, so I better be sure to do that first!
7. And last, but definitely not least, I was reading just for fun a game guide to the computer game Battle for Middle Earth, and discovered it contained a new picture of Boromir that I had never seen before! Whoo hoo! Here's the scanned and slightly cropped version of it:
