Presents come to those who wait
Mar. 7th, 2007 08:21 amLast year for my birthday (which is in June!), my family and a few friends went together and gave me the funds to preorder the new Sideshow WETA 12-inch Boromir action figure they were offering. I have slowed way down on my LotR purchases, but I didn't want to NOT take advantage of this opportunity, and it was nice to know I would be getting him as a gift, even though I knew it would be after my birthday when he would arrive.
Well, he never came and he never came, not even for Christmas. I was beginning to think he'd not be here until my next birthday, lol! But I waited patiently and my waiting has been rewarded at last.
I am happy to say that Boromir is currently on a UPS truck somewhere in the vicinity of Chicago, and he should be here tomorrow. I think he will be glad to have finally arrived -- this journey from maker to my shelf has taken way more than a hundred and ten days!
I just hope he looks as decent in "real life" as he looks on the box. ;-)
