Tuesday News
Apr. 10th, 2007 09:49 amThere's nothing like an 8 am conference call to discuss editing changes on a complicated document to make one's day start out spiffy!
*note slight sarcasm here*
It actually wasn't too bad, in spite of not feeling very well the whole time, though the other participants were bright-eyed and bushy tailed, since they were all on the East Coast and their day had already well begun. Anyway, it went well, and the worst is over for that particular editing project. I got lots of pats on the back for all the work I did on it, so that was encouraging. ;-)
I felt a lot better yesterday after having a light lunch, but this morning I'm feeling a bit puny again. But I think I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this flu. Hope so! Still, maybe I should hope it hangs on just a little longer so I have the best excuse in the world not to shovel snow tomorrow, if we get as much as they are predicting. My poor daffodils will never reach blooming stage at this rate!
We could get as much 5 inches of snow tomorrow, and snow showers are predicted for the rest of the week. I think I'll cover what few sprouting bulbs I have left (after the squirrels came through and had their lunch on the others) in the hopes that spring will eventually get here and they will still be interested in blooming, in spite of the harsh treatment they've faced so far.
Snow not withstanding, we continue to plan our wee garden patch. Our current intention is to plant beans, peas, broccoli, spinach, peppers, and tomatoes. Oh, and nasturtiums. I adore nasturtiums! They won't go in the vegetable patch, though. ;-)
We'll see just how good we are at real gardening.
