I'm dragging a bit today, as my sleep last night was not what I had hoped for!
It all started shortly after midnight. I was sleeping soundly but having a dream about people talking loudling and incessantly. It eventually woke me up, and I discovered it wasn't a dream. It was my DH's stupid short wave radio -- it had turned itself on at midnight and was blaring away. It seems to have an alarm that is set for midnight, and DH hasn't been able to figure out how to turn it off. This is not the first time I've been awakened by it, either. *glares*
The next thing was trains. We live in a part of town where you can hear the whistles of various trains throughout the day and night, but it's not an unpleasant sound, usually. However, last night, it seemed that one particular train was parked or something, because it kept sounding off, at 5 minute intervals, and didn't stop for like 2 hours! Of course, since I was awake because of the radio, I could hear it, and everytime I started to drift off, it would wake me up. *sighs*
The last thing was that it was very hot last night. We had one of those 90 degrees in September days yesterday, and it didn't cool down much overnight. Since I was awake already, I noticed how hot it was, and it kept me from resting comfortably. I tried turning on the ceiling fan, but it made such a grinding noise, I quickly turned it off. The last thing I needed was more noise! *yawns*
Anyway, all that is making for much grogginess this morning. Hopefully not crankiness!
On a happier note, I did well yesterday with my goals, and I plan to continue in the same vein today. Hopefully by the end of the week, my List of Doom will be so much shorter I won't know what to do with myself! :-D
