I am unexpectedly able to stay home today -- all day! Nice, because I really needed to be allowed to be home sick today. ;-) Yes, I have been sick lately -- my DH gave me his bad cold, and I've been limping along feeling vaguely miserable as I cope with my own personal version of said cold. I'm moving along towards the end of my illness now, so that I'm not miserable all the time -- but a day where I don't have to go out is just the thing I needed. I normally have to lead a Bible study on Tuesdays, and I was just wondering yesterday if I would be able to manage it, when a friend called and let me know that hardly anyone can come tomorrow, so I jumped at the chance to cancel. I made arrangements for any language students who come looking for me to be told to come back tomorrow, so I'm free of that responsibility, too. So I'm home -- and thankful for it. Yay!
I'm going to try not to loaf too much, though. I've already got a long list of things I would really, really like to accomplish today. So I'm working on that, but also taking advantage of being home to rest when I feel like it. I work until I feel like sitting down, which is a good way to spend the day.
I think I'll use my sleepyhead icon for this post because taking a nap is also on my list of things to do! :-D Naps should always be on the list of things to do, but one hardly ever thinks of it as important unless one is sick. But I'm planning one today for sure.
It's a nice sunny day out there today, though it's not warm and sunny. But it's nice to look out from the (vaguely) warm apartment and see bright sun and bright blue sky.
We head to Wisconsin for a long weekend sometime tomorrow. The time depends on when we get free from our duties here. We will join the throng of people driving home for Thanksgiving -- good thing we don't have all that far to go. The DS managed to work it so he only works a few hours on Thanksgiving, and then has the rest of the weekend off, so when he's free we can drive off to my sister's, where we are all gathering for the Thanksgiving meal. I'm looking forward to it!
