My goal for today and for this week is to get back on my feet after having the flu. It was just a wee case of the flu, hardly worthy of the name, but it was enough to knock me down, good and proper. I think I am past it today, though I still feel the weariness after exertion that comes after illness.
Usually I get irritated when I am sick over the weekend and on my day off -- what a waste of days off! But I had planned quite a working weekend this time, and instead I was forced to relax. Which I did, and I am sure I will be better for it!
My goals for the week once I get back up and running involve mostly finishing up a bunch of RW projects and writing assignments that must be done by July 22, on which day I head for New Jersey to be one of the cooks at a conference, cooking for 50 people, until the end of the month. Hubby is there already, conducting some of the seminars. After that conference is over, it's a few days to recover and then off to Boston with some great friends to meet some more great friends and to visit Middle-earth by way of the Boston Exhibition.
Nice to get the flu out of the way while I can still afford to be sick!
