We live in an Armenian neighborhood and my hubby works in an Armenian business district. Whenever we go anywhere to meet up with people I always remember to ask him, are we on American time or Armenian time? I am basically a punctual person myself, but time is much more laid back in the Armenian culture. I have learned to adapt. I can't imagine trying to do what you are doing, matching people up time-wise. It sounds so simple but I know like you do that a lot of it is out of our hands!
Speaking of other cultures, I want to go the Christkinkdl Markt in Chicago someday. Since you live there is this near you? If you go can you let me know how it is? We're thinking of driving back there some year just for this, so please let me know. It would be so cool if we could meet up!
