I had a doctor's appointment today. We discussed my blood pressure, which is still a bit high, but he doesn't want to make any changes yet; we are still monitoring things with a raise in medication. So that is good. My weight hasn't changed, worse luck -- I shall have to do better with exercise and diet, I guess.
One new thing, though, is I talked to the docter about a real problem I've been having with food sticking going down -- and hurting as it goes down -- and not being able to swallow what I have just chewed sometimes. He knew what I was talking about, and thinks it's something that definitely needs checking. So I'm getting set up to get "scoped" -- at which time if there is swelling or blockage they can fix it. I am NOT looking forward to having that scope down my throat, but I trust they will put me under for that! It will be worth it to get this problem fixed. I've had a problem with acid reflux for some time, so I suppose this is one of those things that can come from that.
Other than that, I'm in good shape. My asthma is under control, and hopefully will stay that way -- even when we start tearing the house apart prior to fixing it up! But that is another tale for another day. ;-)
Next up is a trip to the eye doctor. I am managing with my old glasses, but I really can't read very well, so I won't be able to "make do" like I thought I would. Wonder why these things all need dealing with during the busiest part of the year? :-D
