I had a doctor's appointment today. We discussed my blood pressure, which is still a bit high, but he doesn't want to make any changes yet; we are still monitoring things with a raise in medication. So that is good. My weight hasn't changed, worse luck -- I shall have to do better with exercise and diet, I guess.

One new thing, though, is I talked to the docter about a real problem I've been having with food sticking going down -- and hurting as it goes down -- and not being able to swallow what I have just chewed sometimes. He knew what I was talking about, and thinks it's something that definitely needs checking. So I'm getting set up to get "scoped" -- at which time if there is swelling or blockage they can fix it. I am NOT looking forward to having that scope down my throat, but I trust they will put me under for that! It will be worth it to get this problem fixed. I've had a problem with acid reflux for some time, so I suppose this is one of those things that can come from that.

Other than that, I'm in good shape. My asthma is under control, and hopefully will stay that way -- even when we start tearing the house apart prior to fixing it up! But that is another tale for another day. ;-)

Next up is a trip to the eye doctor. I am managing with my old glasses, but I really can't read very well, so I won't be able to "make do" like I thought I would. Wonder why these things all need dealing with during the busiest part of the year? :-D

di dthe scope thing a year or so ago...no fear...it is so small, little bigger than a pencil mark, that you won't even feel it and they will have you sniff some cocaine product that will numb you anyway. no fretting dearst lin

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear of your problems. Such things are never much fun, are they? I hope the visit to the doctor goes well, and will be praying for you.
Yes indeed, isn't it odd that everything needs tending just at the point where you're busiest? I've noticed it myself!

Poor sweetie, my mom has that too - sometimes I see her wince when she eats, and I think, "now that is just not fair!" I'm glad that the bp and asthma are under control and that you are otherwise healthy. Selfishly speaking, I need you muchly and want you around at 100%! (((( Lin ))))

Oh! That doesn't sound fun, (((Lin))). I hope it is nothing too serious and they can fix it.
