Woe is me!

My laptop seems to have suddenly fried itself. Wonder if it was because of the tears falling on it after watching the extended ROTK scene with Boromir....?

Incredible = the scene

Devastating = the scene and the fact that my laptop is (possibly) defunct -- hubby thinks it might be a chip or something. Just hoping the hard drive can be saved to put in another laptop. :-(

I was going to do some work tonight before watching more of the DVD, but I think I need to do something to take my mind off my computer. I can't think of a better excuse to use for shirking my duty to enjoy the rest of my evening!

Did I say that the Boromir scene was incredible? Don't watch it without kleenex.

Just for you, Lin - on Sci-Fi last night ( was watching "EarthSea" - very cool) I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that an extended promo about imagination featured the hot Mr. Bean ( no, not Rowan Atkinson, thank you). I amused myself by chanting along with the promo, "imagine Boromir wearing only his sword...imagine Boromir frolicking in a waterfall..." You get the idea. I knew the voice before I even looked up to see the face. Thought of you immediately. =)

I heard he was going to be doing promos for the Sci-Fi channel -- if only we had cable that included that channel... I'd watch it just to listen, hehe!

I could give your laptop a virtual kick if you think it would help! Computers drive me batty. If they didn't help me keep in touch with wonderful folk like you, I wouldn't want them around at all.

I hope that you didn't have toomany stories saved solely on that laptop!

Fortunately, I have my stories saved in other places as well, but they were best organized on that computer. :-/ One more lesson in the benefits of backing up frequently.
