linaewen: (Mr. Sharpe)
I'm back from a 3 hour round trip to the airport to drop someone off, and then a 1 hour grocery shopping trip which was sheer torture because I was starving. ;-) But I made it home in good form and have the rest of the day to do more work! Yay!

Well, I might take a break and not work ALL day. ;-) I think a walk is in order -- the weather is lovely, almost 50 degrees -- and I might do some writing as well, in between the other necessary stuff.

I had lots of lovely emails waiting for me, one of which was the weekly Beanzine from which I get all my Sean Bean tidbits. There are tons of goodies this week, which will take me some time to wade through before I share them, but here is one that made me squee because I wasn't expecting it -- the article was just blurb about Sean's car being stolen, but within the article is a wee bit of info (highlighted by me) that I have been waiting to hear. I hope it's true!!!

BEAN HAS CAR STOLEN Mar 22 2005
By Nathan Yates

ACTOR Sean Bean has had his luxury car stolen by a gang of car thieves who target celebrities.

Lord of the Rings star Sean, 45, had his £70,000 Range Rover taken after the crooks hooked the keys with a fishing rod through his letter box.

It was the second time in a few weeks that Sean's North London home has been targeted.

Burglars had earlier stolen £500 of personal goods. It is believed the gang had been watching his movements.

Bean, who is soon to return to his role as Sharpe on ITV, was filming in Los Angeles with Sissy Spacek and Woody Harrelson.

He bought the 4x4 after using a similar model while filming the movie Essex Boys.

Strangely enough, I am feeling all nostalgic about Range Rovers now. We had one in Pakistan and it's a great car! Ours didn't cost nearly as much as Sean Bean's, because we got it several times used. ;-) Here's a picture of it, in case you care:

A bit worse for wear, but it got us where we needed to go -- in style! Wonder what color Mr. Bean's RR was...?

last night i was watching Vanity Fair with Maureen and the lead characters name was Rebecca Sharpe, and it took place during the early to mid 1800's , gosh I miss Sharpe, feel a poem or a drabble swelling like a wave out at sea, I shall report back when it makes landfall.

PS: Last night while watching Vanity Fair, I see the troops mustering recruits from the streets and I start singing ( much to Maureens amusement)

Forty schillings on the drum
for those you volunteer to come
to stand and fight and fall today
over the hills and far away...

Okay, Lin.... give it back! *Giggles*

Of course I know you didn't take that RR, because you would have waited until SB was in the vehicle before you nicked it!

*squeaks* Sharpe! Sharpe! Sharpe!

:-D Indeed.

You should have heard me squeak when I read the bit about Sharpe -- I've been keeping my ears open and haven't heard a thing; figured it was out since he was doing so many other films and was too busy. But maybe there's still a chance!

I was thinking of asking you the same, but now I have a meeting Thursday morning. :-( What about breakfast on Friday? I think I have the day off.

Great minds think alike!

Actually, I'm sleeping over my mom's Thursday night, so Friday morning is out. Friday afternoon lunch? Or Saturday breakfast? I have to see my friend [livejournal.com profile] renwench Saturday, but not too early, so we could do breakfast then if you are available. *hopes*

I have to be down at my friend's by noon, so we can do nine, but if you want to do earlier, I am up for that too, so I wouldn't be rude and look at my watch and rush to get out of there.

I want as much time with you as possible! I understand if early on Saturday is difficult. ;-)

Just let me know. *smooch*

9 is great.

Arranging this in my journal just struck me as funny, for some reason!
:-D But we're both here, so why not! See you then, love.

Strangely enough, it has been relaxing, even though I have been so energetic, hehe! Energetic getting things done is a nice kind of busy.

Good to see you here (((((dearest)))))!

I hope it IS true too! That would be nice! Though I have yet to see any of the Sharpe movies. I better get busy! Hehe.

There is a Beanzine?! LOL! *signs up immediately*
I love RRs, they're like the farmers of cars, real trustworthy ;)
They're filming more Sharpe? More Sean in uniform...? Oh my. (LOL)

Hello
