linaewen: (Boromir sad)
My good news that I have lost weight enough that I am comfy in a tighter pair of jeans and that I at least managed to get clean curtains up yesterday has been eclipsed by the fact that I somehow managed to get such a bad Trojan Horse on my work computer that I had to call in the Computer Man because our ultra secure antivirus program was detecting it but not deleting it. So here I sit in the lounge, waiting for it to -- hopefully -- get cleaned up without having to do drastic stuff like reformatting.

All my important stuff is stored offline, fortunately, and all my private stuff is mostly duplicated elsewhere. But it's a pain. It's been one of those days, for some reason -- nothing tangible, just this feeling of being too far behind and not catching up, and having unexpected things pop out at me to trip me up. Having a bit of trouble with IBS because of the stress, too.

Thankfully, my main work today involves a printed document and a red pen, so I am at least not getting behind in that way.

If I didn't have a headache and feel stressed out I would be looking forward to this evening; we are going to a baseball game with friends. Hope it doesn't rain! It is a local team but they are considered semi-pro or minor league or whatever it's called. Sorry, I'm a profootball nut, and don't pay that much attention to baseball. ;-) It's the Reading Phillies, in case anyone cares.

I think I'll go get some coffee and take some Brufen, and see how that helps my outlook on life. After saying a prayer for myself, of course!

Thanks, my dear! Things are starting to get better! I am pretty pleased about the weight loss. I've not reached my goal yet, but I'm getting there. (((OBT)))

(((((((((((sweetie)))))))) Use that herbal eye pack for the headache, and try taking some deep breaths, and have some calming thoughts...like of Boromir or something. ;-)

As soon as I get home that herbal eyepack is going in the microwave and then onto my eyes. Then the back of my neck. I'm doing better, actually, as things fall back into place -- but some calming thoughts will finish the job. (((you)))
I have heard it said that when Boromir was feeling sad or perplexed he would climb to the Heights of the mountain and gaze over his land, his people, and think on the days of yore; care free days with his brother, riding, trying to out score each other in archery, drinking in the tavern, trying to choose which maid to spend time with. He would often sing and get poetic in such times;

Gondor! Gondor!
I live to serve Gondor!
The king it's said may come one day;
but until then I'll sing and praise
Gondor! Gondor!
My heart like the eagle soars
when I return from far away
I see your tower and then I say
Gondor! Gondor!
From mountains to the shores
Gondor! Gondor!
I 'll love you ever more
Gondor! Gondor! Gondor!

about this time his brother would have tracked him down and poked fun of his singing; but as they desended the heights they'd join in together and those in the up most towers could hear the brothers, in unison..

Gondor! Gondor!
I live to serve Gondor!.....

have good mothers day dear lin
Awwww! That made me grin, and now I feel better. Just the thought of Faramir poking fun at Boromir's singing made me feel chipper, hehe!

The computer is okay again, so I am getting in stride and getting on with the day -- whatever it brings! (((Tom)))
Finished the "110 Days Son of Gondor" yesterday. Brought tears to my eyes. Great death scene. Reading the story now how he was saved by Aragorn. Nice twist. Never got a reply from her on my praise for her stories. Let her know I really like them. Waiting for chapter 9 on the current one. TGIF, jimmmmy

I am sooo sorry! I have been meaning to reply to him, truly -- thought of it again last night as something I need to do. Let Jimmy know I'm on it, and hopefully he will hear from me this weekend. Not sure when that Chapter 9 will come, but that's on my list to do as well. ;-)

I'll pray for you too, dearling, and have a great time at the game tonight! I've seen the Reading Phillies play, and you'll enjoy it.

Thanks, dear. I'm back at my computer and it is all better now, and I am recovering my sanity, which got scattered for a moment. :-D I'm now looking forward to the game and being outside -- even if it rains a bit! (((Hugs too)))

(((Lin)))) I know all about the headache and stress. I hope that your headache goes away soon and that you get less stress.
