I am the least superstitious of people (though I am beginning to learn that Murphy's Law is truth rather that fiction :-D) but I ALWAYS notice when it is Friday the 13th, for some reason.
Now that I have called attention to that fact, I have nothing much else to say. I had a totally lazy day of ignoring my duties -- except for a wee bit of laundry and the making of meals -- and it was nice. Now of course I have a bit more pressure to work harder, yet I am not feeling the pressure yet. Maybe my self-induced vacation will help me work better today; that's what vacations are supposed to do for you, right?
I have some things looming on the horizon that are a bit worrisome, namely a troop of contractors coming to mess with the house, starting on May 22. A couple of them, I learn, are going to be staying with us on top of that, so any chance of privacy in the evenings is out. Ah well, it's for a good cause. I realize that privacy should not be an issue in a guest house, but it's precious thing to have to help cope with the stress of the other things that will be happening that week.
I am leaving before the contractors leave to visit my folks in Wisconsin; they will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June 4, and my dad's 80th birthday on June 5. I'm looking forward to that a lot! I'll be coming back to bedlam in the guest house and a stack of folks coming for conferences, but I'll deal with that when I come to it.
Hmmmm, for not having much to say today, I sure said a lot, didn't I? :-D
Praying you all have a calming day today in which you get done what needs doing and you don't feel guilty or stressed about the things you don't get to.

Date: 2005-05-13 05:28 pm (UTC)From:I agree about Friday 13th, for some reason I always watch me step on those days (LOL) Although today I had an art exam, so maybe that's a bad omen.
I promise to not feel stressed about not getting round to doing some study ;)
