My journal has been changed, and now I have to remember how to fix it myself. It's one of those things that happens when the LJ folks try to fix things, I guess, and this time it happened to me. Hope I saved what I did somewhere so I can get my White Tower back! They say my customizations haven't been lost, I just have to choose them again, but I have to figure out how to do that! =:-0

Any suggestions, comforting pats, expressions of sympathy or reminders of what I had included in my journal setup will be greatly appreciated!!

all you do is this;
customize
then choose which layout you had and click change, if you do not remember then click preview to see which looks right I think you had Unearthed
then choose which Theme you had
it remembers your backround and colors
i had forgot mine and had it right again in no time

Okay, I think I got it back. Though for some reason, the color looks different now! :-D

your colors are different...not by much but they are.

can you provide me a link where you sent an email to lj? i cant find it,and i want to go home, its quitting time. my journal is totally hooped, and i did go in and change it back to unearthed, but haVe lost every single customization too. i'd say something else but i;m in your journal and you'd get boromir after me with a bar of soap :D

I clicked on the link provided for support in the status report in my flist, and it took me to a form to fill out.

I had to choose one of the layouts that comes with Unearthed, and I chose the closest one to my colors, but it isn't quite right, is it?

I have also discovered, that though I have my journal back, I can't access the Edit Customizations -- so something is still goofy. I did find a list of my customizations under the Advanced section, where it has renamed my list of changes, but I don't know how to go about inputting them again if I wanted to tweak the colors, since all I get is an error message when I try to Edit Customizations.

If you know what I mean.

I have to admit, I am having uncharitable thoughts. Boromir is hovering with the soap.

mines back to what it was...it was relatively easy. once you've changed it back to unearthed, which you did, go back to that same page and click on the link under 'advanced customizations' It will take you to a page that says: documentation and advanced options. /click on 'your styles' and you'll see a list of journal styles you've used in the past - to see which one is your current one, click on the number in the bracket and if its the right one, click on the word 'use'.

I went ahead and printed a copy of my properties set as well. Hopefully, I won't need it again!
