The LJ Admin people are okay

I'm pretty pleased with the LJ folks. While giving us some new goodies to play with, my journal got messed up. With help from friends (my_cocoon and boriel) I got it back, but there was still an issue with something not working like I knew it was supposed to. So I told the Status people about it, using their provided form, and they fixed the problem overnight. Me = Happy.

I am also happy because I just found out that a guest I was expecting is not coming until tomorrow, which takes a whole lot of pressure off me. I can run my errands now and clean at my leisure. I am looking forward to this guest's visit, but I am not quite ready for her yet, and I'm very tired today from waking up too early and laying in bed thinking about my List of Doom -- so it will be nice to go a slower pace today.

Thankfully, it's much cooler today than it has been, which is most welcome!

Dear lin,
The gift I sent you may not have shipped yet. It is a "new" item that was to ship in June but they they didn't say when in June, so for your Birthday it may just have to be the thought that counts until it arrives.

I went out to an office picnic today and they sent all the extra food home with me, so that was nice! I'm relaxing, then taking Nathan out for a spin in "his" car which finally passed inspection. His car has AC! :-D

*waves frantically* Hi Lin! As usual, home comp isn't letting me do anything these days... Now I'm at work, I'm workin for the government doin some stuff for Social Security. I sit here and look at numbers all day. Not so fun, but I get payed $8.90/hr with the option of overtime. It's pretty nice, especially cuz I wanna save up for a car.

Now that I have access to a comp everyday, I'll try to update more often, but in case I can't:

fortunately (or unfortunately depending on who you're asking) that's all it was... But beleive me, i've tried to get on here, but everytime I tried my comp would freeze. BUT... as soon as I have a working computer at work, my home computer decides to start working again (i'm using it now). I seriously think it's a conspiracy ;-)

Numbers aren't that fun, but hey, what can ya do? I actually don't mind it though, except when I have to type things, I often am in chat mode, and I was writing a letter to everyone on my level and I included hahaha halfway through, and when i was about to run to the copier i spotted it and sprinted back to my cubicle lol.

Got any special birfday plans?

I'm going to get my hair cut, NOT cook, and force my family to play Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit. They don't like to because I know all the answers and always win. ;-) Not very exciting, but it'll be fun.

When I signed on my LJ was different also. I got it back, but now it tells me that I can not get into the customize the page. I don't know maybe they will get everything fixed. In another post you say something about a gallery how to get to the gallery? Glad that you have an extra day to get ready for your guest.

That's what happened to me after I got my journal back. I sent them a support request, using the form at this link:

http://www.livejournal.com/support/submit.bml

Under Problem Area I chose Style Systems; for Problem summary, you could type something like "Can't edit customizations" Then explain the problem. They fixed mine for me, hopefully they can fix yours, too.

I love that icon, I think I might have to borrow it! :-D

Thanks, I went back to see if I would get into the customizations again before I sent in a compliant, and guess what it is working now. Borrow the icon if you want.
