On the mend

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes over the past few days. I was able to get in to the doctor this morning, and had all the appropriate symptoms to show him, so I now have a prescription in hand as well as some free samples to get me jumpstarted on my cure. The doctor let me know that the treatment might take longer than 10 days, as I may have the kind of infection that likes to hang on (I'm not surprised) but we'll see how it goes. I have some energy today, though I am still feeling sick and slightly feverish, so I am at the office slaving away once more. ;-) I'm going to take it as easy as I can this week, given that it is probably the most hectic week imaginable with all that is going on around here. Being sick gets you out of some things, but not out of others, unfortunately. ;-)

My birthday Boromir action figure (who came to me from my_cocoon, a fellow Boromir fanatic and sharer of my same birth date) is now adorning my computer in my office. He's got his eye on the door, so hopefully he'll sound his horn if he sees any unwanted editing jobs coming my way this week.

Take it easy, ((((((Lin)))))). I had THREE sinus infections as well as the food poisoning last summer. So far, so good this summer *knocks on my wooden head* My prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.
