Not much to report today, it's a typical Monday, though going well for all that. Not much pressure at work today, got housework lurking to attack me when I get home, but my vacuum-weilding arm is strong today, so I shall prevail.
There hasn't been too much more news on the proposed Sharpe film which it is rumored is set for December. It is still considered a rumor by some sources, since Sean has only said he likes the idea and hasn't officially signed any papers yet.
However!!! Here is what I found recently in the question and answer section at http://www.bernardcornwell.net/ which is Bernard Cornwell's official site. Cornwell, BTW, is the author of the Sharpe book series on which the TV films have been based.

Q: Dear Sir I have just this moment read on yahoo movies that another
Sharpe is going to be filmed. Is this true and if so which book is it or
is it a story specially made for TV? many thanks, Simon, a avid fan
A: Yes, it does seem to be true. Right now word is that filming will
take place in India beginning this fall. The film, to be called 'Sharpe's
Challenge', is an original screenplay written for this project.
I like to think that when Bernard Cornwell says it's true, then it is -- since he has been pretty cautious about saying yay or nay in the past!

Supposedly this film is going to be either shown as a feature length film in the US or it will be shown on BBC America, whatever that is, who seem to have bought rights to it or something. I shall have to check my facts on that. That doesn't sound quite as promising for those of us who don't have access to fancy cable tv, etc. :-/
But I'll find a way to see it, if there's a new Sharpe out there come Christmas!!! :-D
